The current stage of the BEC is setting up “the creative team”, that includes students-economists and scientists (principle investigators). The teams are going to develop business-plans. Yuri Remnev, Deputy Director of NP TEMPO, outlines that “the competition aims not only teach the scientists in developing their ideas, that would be attractive for Russian and foreign investors, but also show the prospective of biotechnology in Russia for young generation of economists”. Right now 6 teams were set up in Moscow (students from Moscow State University and Moscow State Management University), 7 in St. Petersburg (students from St. Petersburg Technology University), and 3 in Novosibirsk (students from Novosibirsk State University).
